Artist Bio

Alannah Anderson is an Australian-born creative based in the United States. With over 25 years of experience in brand and UX design, her work is grounded in a deep understanding of visual communication, brand psychology, and identity.

She began her career in traditional print design before transitioning into the tech industry, where she focused on UX systems and product design, collaborating with luxury brands and leading creative initiatives rooted in clarity and refinement.

Her practice has since expanded into fine art, where she explores themes of transition, presence, and the tension between control and looseness. Working across mixed media, her process reflects an ongoing interest in identity as something that is not fixed, but revealed over time.

Alannah developed her fine art practice through the Milan Art Institute Mastery Program and was a finalist on The Outstanding Artist (Season 2). She currently serves as a Product Director at Milan Art Institute and advises graduate artists within the Society of Professional Artists (SOPA).

Artist Statement

“Painting is how I process what I cannot fully articulate.

My work explores the space between control and release, where forms emerge through layered surfaces yet remain partially unresolved. I’m interested in the tension between clarity and ambiguity, movement and stillness.

Working in mixed media, I build and refine each piece over time, allowing certain elements to come into focus while others remain open.

The work reflects an ongoing exploration of identity as something that is not fixed, but gradually revealed.”
